Glenn has over 12 years experience in e commerce / open source development, digital marketing strategies, forensic legal documents for court cases (Ebay / Amazon), bespoke software development and consultancy for private, public and third sectors. Glenn was a founding member of Ryco and has worked with Road Services, DCAL, IFI, Loughs Agency, HSC, AECOM, John Hogg Group, Team GB and local charities. Glenn has an MSc, BEng (Hons), PGCE and is a globally certified technical trainer. Dr Marcus Sangster
Marcus has over 30 years experience in land management. As a senior manager in the Forestry commission he lead the development of the Commission’s social programmes in Great Britain and was directly responsible for managing the Commission’s social research, leading to the establishment of a team of 13 postdoctoral social scientists in the Commission’s Forest Research Agency. From 2004 to 2011 he worked as a Government analyst and was the Head of Profession for Social Science in the Commission. He is currently concluding a doctoral research project with Nottingham Business School on the governance of forestry in the UK. He sits on the steering group of the OPENspace research institute at Edinburgh University, is an occasional adviser to the European Science Foundation on social forestry and also assists with the Scottish Government’s doctoral training programme. He is a chartered biologist and is active in the Institute of Chartered Foresters where is a member of council and chairs their Professional and Educational Standards Committee. He is experienced in social marketing and complex evaluation.
Geoff is an experienced strategic planner and facilitator and over the last 10 years has led a wide range of consultancy projects following the establishment of his company. He is steeped in knowledge and experience in the world of countryside sport. Most critically from 2003 – 2011 Geoff acted as Independent Chairman of the Countryside Recreation Network, a network of 29 national government agencies in the UK and Ireland. Chairing meetings of the Network and events and managing the contract with Sheffield Hallam University. Geoffwould facilitate and drive the key focus for the development of the Strategy.Prior to that Geoff was a Senior Facilities Manager at Sport England where he led the development of policy on countryside and water recreation. One of Geoff’s most recent projects was to support Sport Northern Ireland (SNI), the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure Inland Waterways Branch (DCAL) by preparing issues papers and facilitating the preparation of a draft Outdoor Recreation Action Plan for Northern Ireland.
