Glenn Ryan

Glenn has over 12 years experience in e commerce / open source development, digital marketing strategies, forensic legal documents for court cases (Ebay / Amazon), bespoke software development and consultancy for private, public and third sectors​. Glenn was a founding member of Ryco and has worked with Road Services, DCAL, IFI, Loughs Agency, HSC, AECOM, John Hogg Group, Team GB and local charities. Glenn has an MSc, BEng (Hons), PGCE and is a globally certified technical trainer. Glenn specialises in Integrated Digital Strategies, User Research, Design Research, Consumer Ethnography, Social Research, Usability Interface design, E-commerce Strategy, Ecommerce Marketing, Ecommerce Creative, Ecommerce Design, Ecommerce Development, Ecommerce Video Production, 3D Products for Ecommerce, Digital Marketing for Ecommerce.

Dr Marcus Sangster

Marcus has over 30 years experience in land management. As a senior manager in the Forestry commission he lead the development of the Commission’s social programmes in Great Britain and was directly responsible for managing the Commission’s social research, leading to the establishment of a team of 13 postdoctoral social scientists in the Commission’s Forest Research Agency. From 2004 to 2011 he worked as a Government analyst and was the Head of Profession for Social Science in the Commission. He is currently concluding a doctoral research project with Nottingham Business School on the governance of forestry in the UK. He sits on the steering group of the OPENspace research institute at Edinburgh University, is an occasional adviser to the European Science Foundation on social forestry and also assists with the Scottish Government’s doctoral training programme. He is a chartered biologist and is active in the Institute of Chartered Foresters where is a member of council and chairs their Professional and Educational Standards Committee. He is experienced in social marketing and complex evaluation.

Geoff Hughes

Geoff is an experienced strategic planner and facilitator and over the last 10 years has led a wide range of consultancy projects following the establishment of his company. He is steeped in knowledge and experience in the world of countryside sport. Most critically from 2003 – 2011 Geoff acted as Independent Chairman of the Countryside Recreation Network, a network of 29 national government agencies in the UK and Ireland. Chairing meetings of the Network and events and managing the contract with Sheffield Hallam University. Geoffwould facilitate and drive the key focus for the development of the Strategy.Prior to that Geoff was a Senior Facilities Manager at Sport England where he led the development of policy on countryside and water recreation. One of Geoff’s most recent projects was to support Sport Northern Ireland (SNI), the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure Inland Waterways Branch (DCAL) by preparing issues papers and facilitating the preparation of a draft Outdoor Recreation Action Plan for Northern Ireland.

Stakeholder consultation and strategy preparation for study undertaken on behalf of British Waterways and Stockton on Tees Borough Council.

Preparation of a business plan for the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Velopark

Stakeholder consultation, strategy review and contribution to development of business case based on demand and supply of cycling and associated facilities.

Preparation of European funding study Canal Link

Examination of the potential of the Scottish Canals to provide routes from Europe for sailing craft to reach the west coast of Scotland

Preparation of a watersports strategy for the River Tees

As part of the Stockton Middlesbrough Initiative to develop a strategy and seek the views of stakeholders regarding the recreational potential of the River Tees and upstream waterway. This project explored the opportunity for the river to become a recognised centre for angling competitions including the opportunity to create specialised infrastructure to accommodate participants and large numbers of spectators.

Developing Water Recreation Plans

In SW, Eastern Region, SE, NW and Midland Regions of England and for Wales and leading on the development of the Wales plan involving facilitating 30 plus workshops summarising views and strategy preparation. The strategy was supported by British Waterways and the Sports Council for Wales and involved a detailed dialogue with angling interests to take account of their needs and maximise the potential of the sport to address social exclusion amongst young people in South Wales.

Splash EA Wales

Evaluating the water recreation challenge fund in Wales to establish its success in securing voluntary access agreements to inland water in Wales.

A Strategic Review of Angling in NI.

Reporting to DCAL, Sport NI and NITB. The report is currently being published by Sport NI. Geoff therefore understands the strategic aspects of angling and the context for the work.

Damien Ryan

Damien has been involved in the project management and development of numerous award winning ecommerce platforms and custom integration bridges and APIs. Some of the Awards include: IMA award winner, Samsung Media Award Winner, Webby Award Winner etc.
Damien has worked on projects for Team GB, Massey Ferguson, AECOM, Road Services, HSC, Daejin International, Gearing Group, John Hogg Group, AJ Power, Irish Services and Womens Aid. Damien has lots of experience using the Agile Method within project development and follows Prince 2 methodologies for project management.
